Bridge Over Troubled Waters

The Transitional Living Program is a communal living program in which youth 17-22 years old learn skills to maintain day-to-day life while pursuing employment or education goals, all while benefitting from close guidance by Bridge counselors.

Bridge offers a variety of supportive services for youth seeking housing. Liberty House is the next step for young adults who have participated in our Transitional Living Program in Brighton.

Support Independent Housing For Runaway Youth

Our Single Parent House (SPH) is an open-intake, voluntary transitional living program for pregnant and parenting homeless adults and their children—the only one of its kind in the City of Boston.

Fund One Month of Single Parent Housing

This unique residential program is a short-term transitional residential program for homeless youth who are able to commit to intensive counseling, maintain employment, save 70% of their income, continue their education, and work with case managers to obtain long-term transitional or permanent housing.

Fund Emergency Residence For Runaway Youth

Our Education and Career Development team helps youth earn their high school certificates, start college, learn job skills, and establish meaningful careers. We provide classes to prepare youth to earn their alternative high-school degree on a flexible schedule with small class sizes and rolling admission that enables youth to enroll at any time. We also provide guidance counseling to youth who wish to enter or continue college and may include financial aid incentives to help youth enter and stay in college or job training programs. Our Career Development team offers open job search hours and job training in soft skills.

Support Runaway Youth's High School Education and Career Development

At the Welcome Center, youth can have a hot meal, take a shower, access lockers, and do their laundry. At the Transitional Day Program (TDP) youth can participate in life skills workshops, enjoy community meals, and connect with case managers to help them obtain critical documentation papers (identification cards, transcripts, CORI records, etc.).

The Melville Family Foundation is proud to support the upcoming Uplift Science Fair for 5th–12th grade students on January 31, 2026, at the UTSW T. Boone Pickens Building in Dallas.   This annual event gives students the opportunity to explore and develop their interest in STEM—Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

Owenwood Farm & Neighbor Space

Owenwood holds a monthly Diapers (children and adult) distribution along with feminine and baby products which serves and average of 275 families each month. Our distribution is free to the community and your donation of $30 can help a family for one month! 

Support Owenwood's Diapers and Essentials Program

In partnership with Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Owenwood provides an after-school program to 30-35 youth in the community free of charge. Your contribution to this effort helps us in continuing music lessons for our community at no cost to them.

In collaboration with North Texas Food Bank, Owenwood hosts a monthly food distribution serving an average of 300 families with 15,000 lbs of food. Help us in this effort!

Every Monday, 35-40 seniors join in on the fun and enjoy chair yoga helping them build and maintain mobility and the opportunity to socialize with others in the community. Help us continue empowering our lovely seniors!

Owenwood's computer lab serves as an educational tool targeting the social determinants of health within our community and helping empower our neighbors.
