Elevate Dallas

Elevate students regularly have a chance to contribute and serve the community by providing supervised child care support for mothers with Exodus Ministries.  Exodus House serves mothers from all ethnic backgrounds who have demonstrated a willingness to make positive changes in their life. These women are dealing with the residual pain of having been separated from their children for a long period of time and do not have the immediate financial resources to sustain their families. Exodus helps them and their families to become productive members of society by serving their spiritual and physical needs. Our Elevate Dallas students always look forward to spending time and having fun with children.

At Elevate Dallas we believe it is critical to our mission to give our students experiences in and outside of the community. Our ability to expose our students to field trips, camps and other activities relies on our ability to get there by van.  We are limited in our van capacity and many times students can't go due to limited seating. Please help fund an additional Elevate Dallas van!

In partnership with Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Owenwood provides an after-school program to 30-35 youth in the community free of charge. Your contribution to this effort helps us in continuing music lessons for our community at no cost to them.

In collaboration with North Texas Food Bank, Owenwood hosts a monthly food distribution serving an average of 300 families with 15,000 lbs of food. Help us in this effort!

Owenwood hosts 4 main community outreach events throughout the year with each event having 275-330 people in attendance. Our back to school event, Fall festival, Christmas toy drive, and Spring festival allow us to remain connected with our community and empower with education and health opportunities. Help East Dallas Community Outreach Programs

Every Monday, 35-40 seniors join in on the fun and enjoy chair yoga helping them build and maintain mobility and the opportunity to socialize with others in the community. Help us continue empowering our lovely seniors!

Owenwood's computer lab serves as an educational tool targeting the social determinants of health within our community and helping empower our neighbors. Through collaboration and support, Owenwood is able to provide our neighbors with educational opportunities such as financial literacy classes, resume building, job training opportunities, and many more topics.
