Support Black Family Weekend (BFW) to Reward Student Performing Artists

Provide a $1,000 scholarship for a youth to attend a Christian microschool in Williamsburg, VA. This scholarship will be awarded to a youth between age 5-12 to attend Enlighten Christian Academy (ECA). The student will be selected based on financial need as well as possessing a positive character. In Virginia, parents do not receive any financial assistance if they choose to have their children in a program other than public schools. ECA provides a strong academic option that incorporates Biblical values and is more affordable than private schools because it incorporates both paid teachers as well as parent volunteers. As a homeschool hybrid microschool, a certified tutor oversees the academic learning each morning, and field experts or parents lead enrichment courses every afternoon. Students excel at this personalized learning program with hands-on projects and weekly field trips! Help make it possible for families in Virginia to achieve a faith-based, individualized education.
